KP Tanks only manufacture the water tanks at our factory and deliver them site with our specialised Hiab truck which is accompanied an oversize load pilot who will help with the placement of the tanks.

Excavation of the site and plumbing/drainage to the tanks from your house are responsibility of separate contractors.

If you need recommendations for someone who can take care of this please don’t hesitate to ask as we have preferred contractors across the North Island who are experienced with installing our products.

If your site is prepared in accordance with our delivery instructions we will back up to the hole and lift the tanks into position.

Give one of our friendly staff a call or send us an email. We will always do our best to get a quote back to you on the same day. Please attach any council plans, stormwater reports, or wastewater reports, along with as much information about your tanks as possible.

This will help us give you the most direct pricing. We will advise you of our current lead times and our booking procedure with your quote.

Our skilled delivery team can install an equalising kit at the bottom of the tanks once the tanks are placed with our Hiab Truck.

This is the only onsite connection service we offer as it means the tanks can be backfilled and filled with water as soon as we leave your site without having to organise a plumber to be there on the day.

The only time we won’t connect the tanks is if the hole is too unstable and unsafe to get into.

In past times, if two or more water tanks were installed they would be connected at the top with an overflow pipe. Our experience has proven that overflow pipes between tanks will generally leak as your tanks settle over time which can be problematic especially if your tanks are installed underground.

Nowadays, we recommend a simplified system that we have designed that eliminates the need for overflow connections which is much more economical all round. Ask us about our recommended tank setup and avoid over complicating your water supply with unnecessary and risky plumbing.

We offer site checks/consultations which are free of charge when purchasing our tanks. Site checks/consultation fees will be deducted off the price of the sale should it go ahead.

We will ask for some photos of your driveway and tank location and make the decision if it is necessary to come out and take look in person. We prefer to be organised with our deliveries and installations to avoid extra time and charges on the day of installation.

Low Trees, Powerlines, Gates, Fences, Angles of land, Turning Circles, Hiab Reach, Ground Conditions, and Buried Services all need to be taken into account for a smooth delivery.

Yes, in fact – if your tanks are buried more than 800mm into the ground, we insist your tanks are filled with water as soon as possible to prevent your tanks from floating.

If it rains before your tanks are filled with water and the hole around your tanks fills up, hydrostatic uplift (floating tanks) will occur and warranty on your tanks will be void.

If you have enough fall away from the tanks, we recommend installing a drain coil around your tanks and away through a drainage trench which will protect your tanks from future floating risk. If you don’t have enough fall to install a drain, ask us about our alternative anti-floatation option.

KP Water Tanks come with a 15 year Guarantee – the largest and only Guarantee offered for concrete tanks in New Zealand. Guarantees are only supplied with tanks that are installed in accordance with our installation requirements.
